These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BalanceWise website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using BalanceWise, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
BalanceWise ("BalanceWise", "we", "us", or "our") provides tools designed to help users track contribution room and related information across registered accounts.

You must be at least 13 years old to use BalanceWise. By using the Service, you represent that:
- You meet the minimum age requirement

BalanceWise provides informational and tracking tools only.

BalanceWise does not provide:

- Tax advice
- Accounting advice

You are solely responsible for:

BalanceWise is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to:

Contribution room values shown in BalanceWise are estimates only and may differ from official records.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not misuse, interfere with, or attempt to disrupt the Service
- Not reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials.
6. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The Service may reference or integrate with third-party tools or services now or in the future. BalanceWise:
- Does not control third-party services
- Is not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or security
- Is not liable for any loss arising from third-party services
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

BalanceWise may:

- Introduce paid plans or subscriptions
- Change functionality at any time
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Any specific feature or data source
- That the Service will meet your requirements

All content, software, designs, and branding related to BalanceWise are owned by or licensed to BalanceWise and protected by intellectual property laws.

- Use poses a security or legal risk

11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- BalanceWise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
- BalanceWise shall not be liable for financial losses, tax penalties, missed contribution room, or lost opportunities
In no event shall BalanceWise's total liability exceed $100 CAD or the amount you paid to use the Service (if any), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BalanceWise from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your reliance on information provided by the Service
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
